The player unlocks expeditions upon upgrading the Guild (building) to lvl. 2. To start an expedition the player must first craft a map from map fragments and for a minimal amount of Coins (see the table below). To craft a map, tap map fragments on the expedition screen. Once the map had been crafted, the player can mount an expedition (by clicking on it) which comes at a greater cost (see the table below). After an expedition has been completed, the player will receive some guaranteed rewards, guaranteed amount of experience, and a chance (60%) of finding an artifact. The player is not guaranteed to receive an artifact every time an expedition is completed, and the player is not guaranteed a different artifact each time, in fact it is common to get an artifact more than once (see Artifacts). Excess artifacts do not bring any extra bonuses, but they can be sold in the Shop or used for trading in the Caravan. There are also skills which the player can learn, which help with expeditions (see Haruka - skills).
- Mount expeditions to find artifacts.
Going on expeditions[]
Most Treasure maps can be crafted by tapping on the Treasure map fragments and tapping "Craft". Smuggler's maps have to be bought in Bourse. Starting expeditions (e.i. mounting expeditions) can be done by tapping on Treasure maps and tapping "Mount an expedition".
Sound of crafting map(s).
Sound of mounting map(s).
Sound of using Curry or Ramen.
Notes[]
- Smuggler's map Chapter III requires Pier lvl. 1 to buy (for the Bourse section to be unlocked).
- Mounting the expedition from Smuggler’s map Chapter III requires Ship lvl. 1 as a prerequisite.
- For mounting the Shogun's Katana Chapter VII map (Treasure map lvl. 4) 80 Wooden planks (100 without Economist) are required instead of 64 (80 without Economist).

- True nonograms can be filtered by using the Search filter. Symbols for what kind of nonogram are displayed in the top right corner of nonograms (if you can't see symbols, you have to enable them in Settings > List > Show symbols or in List view > Show symbols).
Haruka - skills[]
Haruka skills (sometimes also called expedition skills) are skills, which Haruka can learn in order to be a better navigator (i.e. the player will be able to craft higher level Treasure maps and get more loot). They are unlocked upon completing the first expedition. These skills can be fairly quickly learned by getting a lot of Coffee beans from watching ads in Bourse. Below are listed all Haruka - skills with levels, costs and in-game descriptions.
Notes to the table above:
- Navigator and Cartographer lvl. 1 automatically unlock when you unlock Expedition (Guild lvl. 2).
- Cartographer levels define which level of Treasure maps the player can craft (Cartographer lvl. 2 allows you to craft Treasure maps lvl. 1 and lvl. 2).
- Initiative - Treasure map fragments can be collected in the Expedition tab and, since patch 15.2, in Office or in Territory (above the Guild building).
- Up to patch 15.2, Treasure map fragments couldn't be collected if warehouse was full. Now, excess fragments are converted to 10 experience points each.
- Economist - reduces the amount of items needed to mount any expedition.
- Some more coffee! - increases the amount of Coffee beans received from expeditions by 25%. The skill also affects the current (on-going) expedition.
Expedition rewards[]
By completing an expedition, the player gets loot. Some loot (e.g. Gold ingots) don't always drop, and other loot (e.g. Wood) always drops, but in different amounts. Numbers in parentheses and brackets indicate loot, which can be acquired by obtaining an artifact, skill, craftifact, or when a certain condition is met. Loot for any expedition always contains Wood, Stone, Coffee beans and experience points.
Notes to the table above (and below):
- Coins are only rewarded if Turquoise skull artifact is owned.
- Rubies are only rewarded if all lvl. 4 artifacts are owned.
- Rewards for Wood in parentheses are rewards with Hannya mask artifact.
- Rewards for Stone in parentheses are rewards with Templar helm artifact.
- Rewards for Coffee beans in parentheses are rewards with Some more coffee! expedition skill or Necklace for Haruka craftifact and, when in brackets, rewards with both Some more Coffee! expedition skill and Necklace for Haruka craftifact.
The following table shows the statistical averages of loot for every expedition:
This table also shows the average amount of rewards from expeditions with artifacts or any other bonuses in parentheses or brackets (see explanation above). The table was based on this spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is open to everyone to add their own expedition rewards. Instructions in the spreadsheet.
By looking at the data in the spreadsheet, we can estimate the following probabilities for rewards in expedition lvl. 1, 2 and 3 (in Smuggler's, lvl. 4 and Catacombs the rewards are fixed):
- For Wood, Stone and Coffee beans:
- 70% chance of getting the lower amount.
- 30% chance of getting the higher amount.
- For Gold ingots and Treasure in lvl. 1 expeditions:
- 40% chance of getting nothing.
- 30% chance of getting a Gold ingot.
- 30% chance of getting a Treasure.
- For Treasure in lvl. 2 and lvl. 3 expeditions:
- 50% chance of getting nothing.
- 50% chance of getting 2 Treasure (in expedition lvl. 2) or 3 Treasure (in expedition lvl. 3).
- For Coins:
- without the Turquoise skull artifact the amount of Coins is 0; with the skull it is 0.4 times the total value of Gold ingots or Treasure received.
- For Treasure map fragments:
- 40% chance of getting 4 Treasure map fragments lvl. 2 (in expedition lvl. 1) or 6 Treasure map fragments lvl. 3 (in expedition lvl. 2).
- 40% chance of getting 5 Treasure map fragments lvl. 2 (in expedition lvl. 1) or 7 Treasure map fragments lvl. 3 (in expedition lvl. 2).
- 20% chance of getting 7 Treasure map fragments lvl. 2 (in expedition lvl. 1) or 9 Treasure map fragments lvl. 3 (in expedition lvl. 2).
- For artifacts:
- the probability of getting one is fixed at 60%, unless Curry is used (then it is 100%).
Expedition progress[]
Every expedition has a progress bar, which shows how many puzzles have been solved in that section (e.g. in section Solve: Colored Nonograms) - the empty squares, which get colored green after after puzzles get solved. Sometimes the squares don't get fully colored, because a bigger puzzle has been solved. A puzzle can be worth 1, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. to a maximum of 4. The exact formula for how much a puzzle is worth is unknown, but it is correlated to the difficulty and size of a nonogram. It's recommended to solve the bare minimum of the required puzzle, to not waste time and effort (e.g. if it requires 10x10 nonograms, solve only 10x10 nonograms).
There is also a progress bar, which shows the progress of the entire expedition, but it's more subtle. This progress bar is the map beside Haruka. It has 11 empty circles, which get colored after a certain amount of puzzles has been solved, and a cross at the end. Because every expedition level requires different amounts puzzles to be solved, circles get colored at different milestones.

Haruka[]
Haruka Matsumoto is the navigator on expeditions. She guides the player through expeditions by counting how many puzzles have been solved and which ones. She also crafts maps and finds Treasure map fragments lvl. 1 (depends on which skills she has learnt). She has some quotes, which she says after a certain event:
- Hi! I'm Haruka Matsumoto. I will be your navigator on expeditions.
To start the expedition, we will need a treasure map and equipment.- When the player builds Guild lvl. 2 (i.e. unlock Expedition).
- To start the expedition, we will need a treasure map and equipment.
- The first 3 times after the player finishes an expedition and opens the Expedition tab. Later they are replaced with the 2 quotes below.
- Hello! or How's it going?
- After the player finishes an expedition and opens the Expedition tab (i.e. whenever there is no ongoing expedition). Both quotes appear on average 50% of the time at random.
- This is my favorite part!
- After the player crafts (she crafts) a map.
- The expedition started!
- After the player starts an expedition lvl. 1, lvl. 2 or lvl. 3.
- Sea voyage!
- After the player starts an expedition lvl. 4 (or a Smuggler's map expedition).
- Let's go underground!
- After the player starts a catacombs expedition.
- Hope this helps.
- After collecting the daily Map fragment(s) lvl. 1 from the Expedition tab, but only if there is no ongoing expedition.
- That way it will go faster!
- After the player uses Ramen.
- I feel that we are on the right track.
- After the player uses Curry.
- It's so beautiful! Thank you!
- After Necklace for Haruka craftifact is crafted.
Trivia[]
- Images for Treasure map lvl. 4 and Smuggler's maps are the same.
- The map beside Haruka has "_ A R I S M E D I T E R R P A R S" written in the middle, which is probably part of "MARIS MEDITERRANEA PARS", meaning "Mediterranean Sea Region". At the top "G R" is written, which might part of "GREECE". This would also mean that Egypt represents the bottom part of the land. This map is an "archaic" map, which means that it's not accurate and it doesn't reflect the actual coastline.
