You unlock expeditions when you upgrade the Guild to level 2 (building). To start an expedition you first need to craft a map from map fragments and for a minimal amount of Coins (see the table below). To craft a map, tap map fragments on expeditions screen. Once you've crafted a map you can mount an expedition which comes at a greater cost (see the table below). After you complete an expedition you will get some guaranteed rewards, guaranteed amount of experience and a chance (60%) of finding an artifact. You are not guaranteed to get an artifact every time you complete an expedition, and you are not guaranteed to a different artifact each time. You will routinely get an artifact more than once. Excess artifacts duplicates do not bring any extra bonuses but they can be sold in the shop. There are also skills which you can learn, which help you with expeditions.
