Mortar is an item. It is mostly acquired for crafting it in Workshop. It is mostly used for upgrading buildings. Note that this page contains only acquisitions and uses for Mortar. For example, for crafting a certain item, additional items might be needed.
In-game description: Fills 10% of a puzzle. If there are errors, the area is reduced.
While solving a puzzle, open the "sack" in the game menu.
Explanation: Solves 10% of a puzzle, similar to how a human would. If there are errors, the area is reduced. Can be used multiple times per puzzle.
Acquisitions
Mortar can be acquired by:
- Solving nonograms.
- Only with Samurai or Zen Master.
- The exact drop rate is unknown - although the bigger and more difficult the puzzle, the more likely to receive it and in greater amount.
- Crafting it in Workshop.
- Items required: 2 x Wooden beam, 2 x Gunpowder, 6 x Steel.
- Items crafted: 1 x Mortar.
- Craftable at once: 2 x Mortar.
- ...with Conveyor lvl. 1: 4 x Mortar.
- ...with Conveyor lvl. 2: 8 x Mortar.

- 1h (with 0% boost)
- 54m (with 10% boost)
- 48m (with 20% boost)
- 42m (with 30% boost)
- 36m (with 40% boost)
- 30m (with 50% boost)
- 24m (with 60% boost)
- Requires: Workshop lvl. 4.
- Completing quests.
- Levelling up.
- Every 12th level, beginning at lvl. 13 (e.g. levels 13, 25, 37, etc.), 1 x Mortar is/are rewarded.

Mortar can be used for:
- While solving nonograms.
- Upgrading buildings.
- Learning ship mission types.
- Patrolling: 10 x Mortar.
- Throwing it in the Cauldron.
