Are you new to wikis? Do you even know what a wiki is? Are you looking for something specific? Do you have a hard time finding something? Do you have a question about something you've read on a page? This page answers all of those questions!
What is a wiki?[]
A wiki is a website that anyone can participate in. From writing about your favorite topic, to adding a photo or fixing a typo, a wiki is a place where anyone can contribute and collaborate. Wikis are communities of people who share a common interest, and love to write, chat and chronicle that interest.
People come to wikis because it's a communal project, with lots of people collaborating toward a common goal. A wiki is never complete, but always in progress, and always open for others to participate.
A wiki doesn’t have a single owner or manager, but is owned collectively by all of its community members. This means consensus, collaboration and a belief that the collective holds more knowledge than the individual is at the heart of a wiki.

Top navigation (with navigation items: EXPLORE, WIKI CONTENT, ADVENTURERS GUILD and COMMUNITY) contains the most popular pages. While on desktop, you can hover the mouse over each navigation item (only those with triangles/greater than symbol) to see additional navigation items. While on mobile, you have to tap on each navigation item to see additional navigation items. In case you want to access a navigation item that has additional navigation items under them, you can tap on it while the list is extended.
If you already know what page you are looking for, the quickest way to access it is to use the Navigation page. This page contains all pages*, templates, modules and categories on this wiki. This page can be accessed by selecting Wiki content in top navigation. While on mobile, select Wiki content once and once again, while the list is extended. *The Navigation page doesn't include pages of singular items as it would take too much space, but they can be viewed by images on page: Items. Pages can also be accessed by changing the URL.
If you don't know which page contains the information you are looking for, you can try searching the wiki by pressing the magnifying glass button in the top right corner (Special:Search) or using the preferred search engine. The Fandom search engine sorts search result by page popularity, which might not always be wanted. The other option is to go to a page that you think it contains the information and searching the page for a specific keyword with "Find on page" (Ctrl + F).

The table of contents (TOC) is located above the first title of the page (on desktop). The TOC on mobile is not located on the page, but rather on the right top (small half circle button).
Mobile TOC button doesn't show when the page loads, only after you scroll down a little. It also stays in the same place when you scroll down. By tapping on any of the titles in the TOC, the page will be scrolled to that title. There is a bug where the mobile TOC won't show. You can fix it by refreshing the page.
Wiki activity[]
It can be chaotic to monitor every edit and every comment on the wiki. That's why there is a list of recent edits (see Special:RecentChanges) and a list of recent comments (see Special:SocialActivity). Recent changes can be displayed differently, depending on setting in Special:Preferences (only works for registered users).
To see editing history of a page press the 3 vertical dots beside the edit button and then "History".
Desktop/mobile[]
Most (~75%) of all wiki visitors come from mobile, so it makes sense to optimize the wiki for mobile use. Some features Fandom still has't implemented on mobile (like JavaScript, comments, image-maps, etc.). Whenever there is a feature that doesn't work on mobile there is a disclaimer. In case some layouts might not look as good on mobile, they are either adapted or completely different. This is why it might seem that some layouts on desktop seem "too vertical". To be able to experience a certain on mobile either scroll down and tap "VIEW FULL SITE" or enable "Desktop site" in browser settings (later also referred as "switching to desktop view"). Note that viewing in "desktop site" on a mobile might be a bit inconvenient.
Example:
- Levelling reward calculator on Levelling page.
- Because JavaScript (programming language that's used for making the calculator work) doesn't work on mobile, the input field is removed and a disclaimer is added to switch to desktop view.
Comments[]
Comments are a quick way to ask about information on the page or suggest changes to the page. Comments are not enabled on mobile, but switching to desktop view solves this issue (see previous section). Comments are located at the bottom of the page and can be quickly accessed by clicking on the (comments button) on the top right of the page (only on desktop).
You can also tag other users by typing "@user_name". By typing just the ampersat (@) and the first few letter of user's name a list of users that start with those letters will drop down.
Since April 2022, only logged in users that are both "emailconfirmed" and "autoconfirmed" are allowed to comment as a measure to reduce spam and vandalism in comments. It takes 4 days before making an account to start commenting (to reduce spam and vandalism). Although writing on admin's Message wall or your own Mesage wall or even Tavern are also a viable alternatives.
Comments have a bug where the link to the comment will not show you the comment, only the page that the comment is on. You can then press the comment icon in the top right and the comment will load.
Discussions[]
Discussions are very similar to comments, but are not bound to any page. This feature functions similar to Reddit. It's mostly used for discussing general wiki topics, making announcements, asking questions or anything else that the community would be interested in. There is no strict line, what should be posted in Discussions or Comments.
Contributing[]
To add/correct/remove something on a page, just press the "Edit" button on the top of the page. Any edits in good faith are welcomed. All versions of a page are stored and all edits can be reverted, if needed (previously mentioned "History" of the page). Even unregistered users are allowed to make changes. In case editing is not for you, you can also comment below the page.
For what to contribute to the wiki see the To-do list.
Uploading image[]
Only registered users can upload images. Use Special:Upload to upload images.
Wikis in other languages[]
Currently there are only 2 official wikis in non English language (Spanish and Russian), but they are not being maintained/updated. Making wikis in other languages takes a lot of time and effort. There is not just copy-pasting translations for each page, but also uploading some images (mainly the ones with English text in them), translating the code (from modules and templates), and maintaining everything. If you want to channel your inner editor/translator, you are free to add/translate any page into the desired language on the correct language wiki.
In case English is not your preferred language, you can use "Translate to <language>" option when right clicking on the page (might be different for non Chrome browsers).
Notes[]
- Words "nonogram" and "puzzle" are used interchangeably.
