Ruby is also a unit of value in the game, but it's harder to acquire. It can be used for almost everything.

Acquisitions

Ruby can be acquired by:

  • Solving nonograms (rare).
    • The exact drop rate is unknown - although the bigger and more difficult the puzzle, the more you are likely to receive it and in greater amount.
  • Completing quests.
    • Mosaic quests: 2 x Ruby for each mosaic.
    • Festival: 5 x Ruby.
  • Completing expeditions.
  • Selling items in Bourse.
    • 20 x Coffee beans => 1 x Ruby.
      • Maximum 4 x Ruby (4 trades) per cycle.
    • 7 x Spices => 1 x Ruby (Smuggler section).
      • Maximum 1 x Ruby (1 trade) per cycle.
    • 7 x Pearl => 1 x Ruby (Smuggler section).
      • Maximum 1 x Ruby (1 trade) per cycle.
    • 15 x Tuna => 1 x Ruby (Smuggler section).
      • Maximum 1 x Ruby (1 trade) per cycle.
    • 10 x Honey => 1 x Ruby (Bedouin section).
      • Maximum 1 x Ruby (1 trade) per cycle.
  • Buying it with real money in Bourse.
    • Maximum 20 x Ruby (5 + 15) per 30 minutes.
  • Levelling.
    • Every level that ends with a 0 (10, 20, 30, etc.), you receive 3 x Ruby.
    • Every level that ends with a 5 (5, 15, 25, etc.), you receive 2 x Ruby.
    • In other cases you receive 1 x Ruby.
