Spikes (Makibishi) is an item. It is mostly acquired for solving nonograms. It is mostly used for throwing it into the Cauldron. Note that this page contains only acquisitions and uses for Spikes. For example, for crafting a certain item, additional items might be needed.

In-game description: Reveals 5 random ones. If there are no ones, reveals random cells. If there are mistakes only one cell will be fixed.
Sack While solving a puzzle, open the "sack" in the game menu.

Explanation: Reveals 5 random colored cells (not crosses). If there are mistakes, only one cell will be fixed.

Acquisitions

Spikes (Makibishi) can be acquired by:

  • Solving nonograms.
  • Crafting it in Smithy.
    • Items required: 1 x Steel.
    • Items crafted: 1 x Spikes.
      • Craftable at once: 10 x Spikes.
    • Crafted in:
      • 5m (with 0% boost)
      • 4m 30s (with 10% boost)
      • 4m (with 20% boost)
      • 3m 30s (with 30% boost)
      • 3m (with 40% boost)
      • 2m 30s (with 50% boost)
    • Requires: Smithy lvl. 2.
  • Completing ship missions.
    • Compensation reward:
      • Trading: 0.083 x Spikes (if all segments fail).
      • Exploring: 0.083 x Spikes (if all segments fail).
      • Fishing: 0.083 x Spikes (if all segments fail).
      • Prospecting: 0.083 x Spikes (if all segments fail).
      • Patrolling: 0.083 x Spikes (if all segments fail).
  • Buying it in Shop.
    • 7 x Coin => 1 x Spikes.
      • Shop lvl. 1: maximum 10 x Spikes per cycle.
      • Shop lvl. 2: maximum 20 x Spikes per cycle.
      • Shop lvl. 3: maximum 20 x Spikes per cycle.
  • Levelling up.
    • Every 12th level, beginning at lvl. 6 (e.g. levels 6, 18, 30, etc.), 5 x Spikes is/are rewarded.

Uses

Spikes is one of the few items, that the game regularly annotates with a Japanese name in parentheses. Specifically, Spikes is referred to as "Spikes (Makibishi)".
